The Niger Delta Youth Council, (NDYC) has called on Governors of Niger Delta Region to use their monthly allocations to develop the region.

This was contained in a joint statement signed by the duo of Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore, popularly known as young chief and Comr. Onitsha Ebikeme Shadrach, President and Secretary respectively, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide yesterday.

According to the statement, the duo had explained that the monthly allocations accruing to the various Niger Delta States is enough to develop the various states,stressing that the Governors must use the resources prudently for the proper development of the various states.

However, the duo further maintained that the resources if properly managed by the Governors will contribute greatly for the region’s development.

The duo had in the statement called on the various Governors to put up their house in order to liase with various intervention agencies for the region’s development.

Speaking further, Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore and Onitsha Ebikeme Shadrach had also tasked President Bola Tinubu to prioritise the development of the Niger Delta region.

It would be recalled that Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore is the President of Owners of Oil Producing Communities, Western Zone.
