The Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to hold the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, minister Federal Capital Territory and the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Siminalaye Fubara responsible should there be crisis in the state.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the duo of Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore, popularly known as young chief, President Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) and Comr. Onitsha Ebikeme Shadrach, Secretary of the Niger Delta Youth Council, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide yesterday. However, the duo had particularly called on President Bola Tinubu to wade into the matter, stressing that the political tension in Rivers State is rising by the day.

Speaking further, they particularly cautioned youths in Rivers State not to be used by politicians in the state to cause crisis, stressing that the life of every youth is important.

Nevertheless, the statement had admonished Minister Wike and Governor Fubara to mend fences by allowing peace to reign in Rivers State.

Meanwhile, the duo of Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore and Onitsha Ebikeme Shadrach asserted that Niger Deltans are not interested in the political battle in Rivers State but are rather interested in the growth, development and peaceful coexistence of the Rivers people.
