Spokesman of the highly revered Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill has stated that the Ijaw people should continue to make deliberate efforts in preserving its rich cultural heritage.

The IYC Spokesman made the remark yesterday at the Ogbe-Ijoh 2024 annual Amafini festival in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Binebai Princewill who commended the Ogbe-Ijoh people for the well packaged Amafini Festival noted that he will continue to be proud of the Ijaw people anywhere in the World, adding that they are so wonderful, lovely and accommodating.

According Binebai, he said the Ogbe-Ijoh Amafini Festival is one of the most ancient and entertaining festival in Ijaw land, stressing that he feels so happy seeing prominent sons and daughters of Ijaw nation across the Niger Delta region that had come to grace the occasion, adding that the Ijaw ethnic nationality is truly one big family.

However, Princewill continued that the 9th NEC of the Ijaw Youth Council will continue to support actions geared towards preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Ijaw people, stressing that the Ijaw culture and tradition is pure and our way of life, adding that it is simply the best.
