IGL Celebrates Ewein Day, Urges Governor Oborevwori To Establish Tertiary Institution In Ogbe-Ijoh

The Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) on Tuesday Celebrated the ancient Ewein Day in Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

While reading out the Press Statement on behalf of The Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL), President of IGL, Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore, popularly known as young chief had particularly called on the Governor of Delta State to put a permanent peace between the people of Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja communities in Delta State.

The statement commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his move towards uniting both communities, stressing that what they have now is a fragile peace.

Speaking further, the Independent Grassroot Liberators had called on the Governor of Delta State to establish a tertiary institution in Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, adding that the community deserved to host such institution considering its economic and political viability in Delta State.

High point of the event was the presentation of the Holy Bible and water of Ewein, founder of Ogbe-ljoh Kingdom by the Independent Grassroot Liberators to cleans and bless the inhabitant of Ogbe-Ijoh community, special prayers for help and protection was also offered to sons and daughters of Ogbe-Ijoh.

It would be recalled that April 2nd has been set aside to celebrate Ewein Day every year.
