Gbaramatu Kingdom IYC Backs Otuaro On PAP Appointment, Recount Sacrifices Made By Gbaramatu, Ijaws

Chairman Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Oyinkuro Wazo Zikurebai has thrown its weight behind the position taken by the National leadership of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide by supporting Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro on his appointment as Administrator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Gbaramatu Clan had particularly lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu for appointing Otuaro, stressing that the new Administrator is a square peg in a square hole, maintaining that there is no cause for alarm.
However, the IYC Gbaramatu Clan Chairman in Western Zone made the remark yesterday via a press statement he personally signed, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide in Warri.
The statement had particularly described the outburst of the Coalition of Niger Delta Civil Society Organisations against Otuaro as undemocratic and misguided, stressing that they lack the moral rights to comment on the Amnesty Programme as stakeholders.
Speaking further, Comr. Oyinkuro Wazo Zikurebai explained that the people of Gbaramatu paid very huge price for the establishment of the Amnesty Programme in 2009, stressing that this is 15 years after the Amnesty Programme was established to quell the rising armed agitations in the Niger Delta region that a Deltan and Gbaramatu son is being appointed to man the office.
Zikorebai maintained that communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom were levelled to the ground, lives and properties worthing billions of naira were lost, indigenes spent days wondering in the forests of Gbaramatu Kingdom as they experience state sponsored bombardment.
Nevertheless, the Ijaw Youth Council, Gbaramatu Clan structure had called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu to completely disregard any group of persons speaking against Otuaro’s appointment, adding that the appointment is one of the most celebrated appointment in the Tinubu led Federal Government of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Wazo had warned elements speaking against Otuaro to desist from such act, stressing that Gbaramatu Kingdom will not keep quiet to watch enemies of the region discredit their illustrious son and kinsman.
