DESOPADEC: Bebenimibo appreciates Okowa, congratulates other appointees
Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, Comr. Ernest Bebenimibo has appreciated the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for appointing Dr. Paul Bebenimibo into the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC as commissioner to represent the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in Delta State.
Comr. Ernest Bebenimibo, Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta made the disclosure yesterday via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
The PDP chieftain had particularly lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for remembering the Bebenimibo’s family, stressing that his entire family will continue to owe him in high esteem.
He had explained that this is the first time that the Delta State Government is remembering the Bebenimibo’s family in such capacity.
Nevertheless, Ernest had also appreciated political leaders of Gbaramatu kingdom and others who worked behind the scene in making the appointment possible.
“As a family, we are so happy that our elder brother, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo is given such appointment by the Delta state government under Okowa, this has never happened to us before, your Excellency Sir, we are very grateful to you.
“The Bebenimibo’s have contributed so much towards the growth and development of the entire Niger Delta region, some have lost their lives and whatever you can imagine in the Niger Delta struggle for self identity.
“I have no doubt in me that Dr. Paul Bebenimibo will bring his wealth of experience to practice which will ensure that your vision of building a stronger Delta is achieved without any hindrance” Ernest Bebenimibo stated.
However, the grass root leader had further congratulated Amb. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, ED, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC and Chief Emman Amgbaduba, commissioner designate, Delta State.
He had described the duo as fine breed of politicians that have innate democratic credentials to deliver to Deltans.
