Former members and warlords of the Defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) and members for the Movement for the Actualisation of the Dreams of Niger Deltans (MADND), has warned the Amalgamated Arewa Youth Groups to be careful with their utterances against Tompolo’s surveillance contract as they are angrily watching how developments were unfolding.

In a right of reply via a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr. Josiah Oyakongha aka Commander Oyimi: they described the Arewa group as clown that has got nothing to offer, rather than being obsessed with their most respected leader; High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo who has given it all for the peace, development and unity of Nigeria.

Commander Oyimi also advised the clown group to invest their resources and resourcefulness in providing solutions to the economic and insecurity challenges bedeviling Nigeria, particularly the North and live Tompolo from the pages of newspapers, who has already met with stakeholders in providing solutions to oil theft, pipeline vandalism, which will resuscitate Nigeria’s economy, adding that as former warlords of the Defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) and members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Dreams of Niger Deltans (MADND) they will not condone such provocative and cheap blackmails against; High Chief Ekpemupolo

“Ordinarily, we ought not to respond: reason being that a golden fish has no hidden place. In other words, a big name who is focused to his destination will always attract small names in distracting him for the task of his mission ahead. However, we know our respected leader; High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo is a focused and committed, yet detribalized leader who has no enemy even in the face of a pure mischief by this group will always work for the overall good of Nigeria.”

The statement further advised some ex-agitators protesting against the contract to close ranks and work with Tompolo.

“Also, we are using this medium to advise some ex-agitators who have been protesting the surveillance contract awarded to Tompolo to jettison their outbursts and desist forthwith as their actions show recourse, bitterness and a deflection to the core emancipation crusade of the Niger Delta. We are supposed to be celebrating this contract rather than fighting for a contract awarded to Tompolo who was a forerunner in the emancipation struggle. So, we plead with our ex-agitators to stop as their actions- for it not to be misconstrued as if they were never and are not interested for the unity, development, progress and emancipation of the Niger Delta. Once again, we plead instead of fighting Tompolo, our ex-agitators should reach out to Tompolo for all to be carried along and be given sense of belonging because we know Tompolo is a liberal leader and he is going to engage each and everyone.”
