There was massive Jubilation yesterday in the ancient and oil bearing Ogulagha community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State over the inauguration of new Youth Executive members of the community that will pilot the affairs of the Youths for the next two years.

The inauguration ceremony was heavily attended by the Chairman and executive members of Ogulagha Community, Chiefs of Ogulagha Kingdom, elders of Ogulagha Community, women, youths of Ogulagha and several youth leaders in Niger Delta that turned out in their numbers to grace the occasion, the Ogulagha Community Town Hall was filled to the brim with fanfare and a lot of entertaining activities.

On his part, Amb. Comr. John Bebapere, Executive Chairman of ancient Ogulagha Community had charged the new exco to always do the right thing.

Speaking further, Bebapere had called on the youths to always be united and always work in accordance with constituted authorities in Ogulagha community, stressing that they should operate within their limit.

Nevertheless, Amb. John Bebapere had assured the youths of his support towards the youths whenever his support is needed, adding that he is happy for the peaceful transition of the new Youth Exco, stressing that the Comr. Sonneth Olomoro led Eleco deserved to be commended.

Comr. ThankGod Iyaragba, outgone President of Ogulagha Community Youths, had particularly appreciated Chiefs, elders, leaders and youths of Ogulagha Community, adding that his tenure was peaceful and fruitful due to the cooperation of the people.

Speaking further, Iyaragba also hinted the people of Ogulagha Community that his administration among other achievements was able to influence the employment of several job slots to indigenes of the community within his two years administration, adding that he was able to achieve that feat by working closely with the community exco and other critical stakeholders of the community.

Comr. Dede Roland, President Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) had tasked the new Youth Exco to see themselves as one and prioritise operating open door policy, adding that everyone should be carried along.
He noted that the Youth exco must be meticulous in pursuing the development of the community, stating that they should work hard in living behind legacies that will stand the test of time.
The OKYC President had promised to also work with them as the number one Youth in Ogulagha Kingdom, expressing optimism that the Comr. Austine Tukorogha led administration will do well.

Others who spoke during the event include Chief T. M O. Douglas, Chief Emmanuel Potoki, Chief Francis Satu and Amb. Dr. Apst. Godspower Tomone had all advised the new Youth Exco to be upright and productive in their administration.

An inaugural speech presented by Comrade Austine Tukorogha Babangida,President-Ogulagha Youth Association on the Occasion of the swearing-in Ceremony of the 2023 Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Executive Committee held on Monday 10th April,2023.

Ladies and gentlemen.
Unbehalf of my team, I express gratitude to God almighty and to you all for your various contributions towards the election and subsequent swearing-in today ;10th April 2023 ; of the new Ogulagha Youths Executive Council under my leadership as the President.We stand as the sworn-in Executive today because you trust and have confidence in us to advance the ideas of the youths and the development of the Kingdom in general. Thank you for coming to share this moment with us.

We thank the community executive for providing a peaceful atmosphere for the elections.Our thanks also go to the seven quarter executives, the electorial committee, our families and friends for their support and understanding. To our campaign committees and our dear delegates who voted for us ,we say thank you. By the grace of God we will not fail you. To our fellow contestants and those who voted differently we appreciate you and invite you to come and get us build our youths and our Kingdom together. We immensely thank the outgoing executive led by Mr. ThankGod Awo Iyaragba l for the peaceful transition.
We commit to breaking new grounds in expression of our hunger for development and strong determination for success. We believe this executive will move a step forward that will be valued by all.

I am mindful to say that the Youth Executive will work to assists in the general development of ogulagha community. We will encourage educational growth amongst youths. To promote unity and peaceful coexistence among our youths most especially. To hold consultative meetings with elders and others association when the opportunity presents itself. To actualize the legitimate right of the youths through dialogue and consultation to foster gainful employment. To promote welfare of the youth and to check the youths in the case of any misconduct or misbehavior

As we move with your mandate to serve, we seek for best ideas, cooperation and understanding to achieve our best.
Most importantly, the Ogulagha youths council is due ;if not over due; to own her secretariat and its our desirer to secure such edifice before leaving office. We solicit your support in advance towards achievement of this goal.

I wish to extend my profound gratitude to many but to mention a few, Chief Peter Tuasine, Chief Peter Kezi, Chief Francis Boumiebi, Capt. Lethemsay Braboke, Hon Shedrack Agedige, Chief Collins kemeyan, Bright Guwor, Com. Louis Ogori, Mr. Richard Bebeyai and many others.
