Tomone Congratulates Pondi On His Emergence As House Committee Chairman On Environment
Leader of Youbebe Community and prominent chief of oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom has : Amb. Chief AP. Dr. Godspower Tomone has congratulated RT. Hon. Julius Pondi , member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on his emergence as Chairman House Committee on Environment.
The business tycoon, political leader of thought, friend and brother of RT. Hon. Julius Pondi, who has always sustained an unwavering confidence on the lawmakers’ competency in leadership, stated that Pondi as a productive leader will no doubt use the new office to ameliorate the situation of the Niger Delta region in particular and other areas within his jurisdiction.
Chief Tomone urged RT. Hon. Julius Pondi to use the office to see to the suffocating issues of Shoreline depletion which has been an age long threat to the coastline communities of the Niger Delta of which Ogulagha Kingdom is largely affected. He mentioned Osain, Obuguru, Okuntu, Youbebe etc as concrete examples of Ogulagha Kingdom’s community facing erosion and sea waves encroachment issues.
Chief Tomone also used the medium to plead with the lawmaker to intervene via his new office to proffer solution to the reoccurring flooding of the Niger Delta in particular and Nigeria at large.
Dr. Tomone, thanked the House of Representatives for finding Pondi and ready and worthy instrument for the task. He added that the house made the right choice and would never regret it on the long run.
