IYC Sympathise With Former President Dr. Chris Ekiyor Over Demise Of His Wife

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has sympathized with its former President, Dr. Chris Ekiyor over the demise of his lovely wife, Mrs Gloria Ekiyor.

Just few days ago, as a council, we woke up to hear the sad news of Mrs Gloria Ekiyor’s death, we are shocked beyond words as she was a woman full of life, one who embraces all and have always supported her husband positively.

Dr. Chris Ekiyor, former President of council is a man with remarkable strides in the Ijaw struggle for resource control and self determination, he is a man that have paid his dues in Ijaw nation and for council. Ekiyor is a leader that council will continue to reckon with.

However, IYC commiserate with you as whatever that affect you have also affected council and Ijaw nation as we are still in shock over the demise of your wife. In this your trying moment, we are with you as our leader to render services whenever the need arises.

The death of our loved ones are always painful, particularly judging from the fact that Mrs Ekiyor is leaving at a time her services are needed the most. She was a virtuous woman who had always supported her husband to come this far in life.

Our dear leader, it is our call that you should take heart as it is God that giveth and also taketh. Though it is painful, but please take heart. It is our prayer that untimely death shall never come near your household.

We will do whatever it takes to be with you throughout this your trying moment and beyond.
