Edo 2020: Former Niger Delta Warlord Ukori Condemns Killing Of Lady Odogbo By Suspected Pirates

A Niger Delta former warlord, Chief (Hon) Godwin Ukori, a leader in Egbema Kingdom, Edo State has condemned in strong terms the killing of one madam Yaghado Odogbo by suspected sea pirates at Tolofa Village.
Hon. Godwin Ukori strongly condemned the act, describing it has barbaric, senseless and evil, stressing that the wrath of justice must surely hunt down perpetrators of the act.
The former warlord dropped the note of condemnation via a statement issued to newsmen in Benin City Yesterday, capital of Edo State, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
Narrating how madam Yaghado Odogbo was killed by the suspected pirates, Chief Godwin stated that it was on the 19th of September, the day of the Edo State Governorship election when fierce looking unknown gun men was shooting sporadically in the creek of Tolofa in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, stressing that stray bullets touched the woman as she was severely injured by stray bullets fired by the unknown gun men.
Hon. Ukori continued that upon seeing how the woman had been injured by stray bullets by the suspected pirates who where passing bye, the villagers of Tolofa in Egbema Kingdom had quickly rushed her to Gelegelegbene community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State for treatment.
He said on their way to Gelegelegbene via the Benin River, the badly injured woman gave up the ghost, as tears and sorrow envelopes the entire Tolofa and other surrounding villages.
However, Chief Godwin Ukori stressed that sea piracy and killing of innocent Ijaw women is not part of the Niger Delta struggle and Ijaw movement for liberation.
It would be recalled that Hon. (Chief ) Godwin Ukori is Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State on Dispute Resolution.
