As the gale of resignation and defection continue to rock the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State ahead of the March 18th Governorship and House of Assembly elections, a prominent youth leader, Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore have resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbe-Ijoh Federal Ward 1.

His resignation was contained in a letter made available to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, a copy of which was sent to our reporter yesterday.

However, Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore is the president of Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC), President Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) and also President, Owners of Oil Producing Communities, Western Zone.

The global Youth Ambassador, popularly known as young chief noted that he is resigning because the PDP led Government has not done enough for the abatement of the lingering Ogbe-Ijoh/ Aladja crisis, stressing that the communal imbrioglio has claimed too many lives from both communities.

Nevertheless, Mamamu who is a strong grassroot mobilizer in Ogbe-Ijoh Federal Ward 1, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State continued that he cannot continue to work for a party that does not reward hardwork of the youths.

Speaking further, he said despite his massive contribution towards the victory of PDP over the years in the ward, he has been suppressed by leaders that don’t want him to grow politically, adding that he can’t continue like that as he must fight to rewrite his political destiny.

Meanwhile, Mamamu asserted that in the coming hours, himself and other critical Youth leaders will officially decamp to another political party, adding that the defection will be like a political Tsunami in Ogbe-Ijoh Federal Ward 1, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

When asked which party he will be decamping to, Mamamu declined comment on the party, stressing that only time shall tell.
